The age old question, how can you raise 3 children the exact same way and they be so different.  2 that are successful, college educated, married, homeowners that are exactly how you envisioned your children to grow up to be. And then the 1 that is a high school dropout alcoholic that you have tried everything to help and change and nothing works.  I love all of my family and it breaks my heart to feel so helpless and angry and sad and clueless and guilty. 

So, if you are an empty nester because your child has moved on in a successful marriage or career, be thankful and happy and proud.
