I'm a Navy brat that was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. From there we moved to Chula Vista, California where my first brother was born. Moved to Jacksonville, where both parents were originally from, in 1966 when my dad retired from active duty. My second brother was born in Jax. Mainly grew up on the north side of town living on 52-acres of property that my grandparents had purchased in the 1930's. Always had chores to do: gathering eggs from the hen house, feeding the rabbits or helping dad in his garden and, of course, washing dishes. While in grade school I started taking piano lessons. Once in junior high I started playing the flute in the band. (Yes, I was a band geek.) Always active in extracurricular activities in school, my favorite being yearbook. (Maybe that's where I get my scrapbooking love from!) Started working while a senior in high school from 1-5pm for The Hamilton Collection. It was supposed to be a three month job that turned into an almost 20-year career. Started in the order processing department and ended up in the marketing & media departments before I left. My training was totally on the job! Have since worked for two great advertising agencies in Jacksonville and now am Super Glue at nGen Works, a website design and development company in San Marco. I'm passionate about many things, including but not limited to: the Florida Gators, scrapbooking, my nieces (I love to spoil them!), work and my friends.
