I'm 38, but feel like 30...I'm pushing off middle-age as long as possible. My family and I (which includes my entire extended family) live in Colorado Springs, CO - but grew up in Jacksonville, FL. During college, I spent two years living in New York City where I studied acting and lived the 'city life' before moving back home to (thankfully) meet my husband Robert. We've been together for 16 years and happily married for 13. Robert is my hero, my rock and my biggest supporter - and always has been.
Our 15 year old daughter Taylor and our 12 year old son Jackson are easily the best and most difficult challenges in my life. Raising teenagers is tough, to say the least. From the moment I became a parent, I've read many well-respected parenting books - which seemed to help tremendously - until each of them reached the age of 12. Now I'm often flying without a parachute. I'm just finishing my degree in Applied Psychology and will soon start my Master's program in Counseling. I have more than 10 years of experience in Human Resources, but am now a stay-at-home mom - and loving every minute of it! Just the same, I find my friends and family seeking my advice for everything - interior design, party planning, parenting, health care management and career strategies. My attention to detail and thirst for knowledge and research seems to be very popular.
