My Bio

I am a North Dakota transplant that ended up in Florida by a rather circuitous route. At first I wasn't sure Florida, let along Jacksonville, was right for me, but the southern lifestyle has definitely grown on me and now I'm working to convince the rest of my family to move here! I am married, getting ready to celebrate my fourth wedding anniversary in October, but childless. Although I am a dotting autie who tends to spoil my nephews, I'm still not sure parenthood is for me (or my husband). Maybe I'm selfish, but I just have never experienced those maternity yearnings other women talk about.

Hi Anne, I understand your struggle. Noone thought I would ever have children and I have (4)...wow! I feel qualified to say that once you have them keep in mind that there is not a pause or rewind button! ;-) All kidding aside, I can honestly say that it is the most intense endeavor I will ever have in my life journey, yet- my motherhood has without question sanctified me the most. It has taught me patience, love, acceptance, commitment and accountability in a way I would not have known otherwise...I recall vividly when I had my first baby this indescribable quickening and knowing in my spirit that part of why I was here was to be her mommy. All the best to you!

Whatever you decide I am sure you already enrich the lives of your nephews. I waited four years before my husband and I decided to have a child. Take all the time you need. Let me know if as a mother of four I can answer any questions...depending on what kind of day we have had, you may get different answers:)
