The Way to a Woman's Heart: Electronics
Women's interest in electronics is on the rise, according to research from the Consumer Electronics Association. The study also found that the gender gap in consumer electronics spending is shrinking. On average men outspent women by $61 on consumer electronics in the past year; that gap was nearly $200 the last time the study was conducted.

products as "household" products, meaning they consider ownership of the
device, such as TVs and DVD players, to be shared with a spouse,
partner, roommate or child. But when it comes to newer and mobile
technologies, such as e-readers, notebook computers and smartphones, women were more likely than men to claim sole ownership."
