Spring break shouldn't be just for kids

I just got back from a week off with the family for Spring Break.  And wow what a difference a week can make.  I have a fresh perspective on life, work, home.  It was so good, my daughter was surprised that it wasn't a nationwide holiday. She thinks everyone should get a week off in springtime.   I told her there were a lot of little life surprises in store for her "out in the real world."

Truth is, we all do need a break every so often--time to recharge, reboot, reconnect with ourselves and those we care about.  It doesn't require a week off from work or a trip to some exotic locale.  It does require a change of mind.  A willingness to set aside routines, habits and thought patterns.

What do you want to break from and spring toward?  Take five minutes today and jot down a few things.  Then pick one and hop to it!

Thank goodness for Spring Break!  It offers a break from making lunches and doing homework too!  This year we did a 'staycation' for part of the week and then a conventional get away 'vacation' at the end.  Having time to actually relax and get some 'spring cleaning' at home accomplished was very rewarding.  So that Spring Break time of year when we change the clocks may also be just what we need to remind us to become FRESH in all areas!
