Not up for shopping this year. Going to pass on that and spend time with the family. We've decided to skip the gift giving this year and spend that money on helping others.

I'm not a fan.  It is fun to watch the madness on the news, but I'd much rather spend time at home with family and friends than shop all day.  My fiance and I have vowed, starting this year, to make the day after Thanksgiving a time for Christmas decorating, leftover eating and relaxing.

I LOVE Black Friday. I shop the ads beforehand so I know exactly where I'm going and what I'm buying. Most ads are already online, so I get an idea of what deals are out there.

Tip: Old Navy's sale actually starts on Thanksgiving Day at Noon. Plus they will have a coupon in the paper for $10 your purchase of $50 or more.

I will never be the one standing at the front door of the store waiting for it to open, but for several years now my mother and I have made it a tradition to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. While I must admit that I don't love the crowds and long lines, I do love the excitement and the beginning of the holiday season. We don't necessarily go with a goal in mind, but if we find something great and the line is bearable we do it. I look forward to the time with my mom, it brings about very fond memories.

I've never taken to the Black Friday tradition. I'm certain there are great deals to snag but the crowds are worse than the alternative to me, which is paying more. I'd rather spend time with family, run off some turkey and pie, and finally get started on my wedding scrap book.

I am indecisive right now. I'll be in Atlanta so I'll have plenty of places to shop but the traffic is going to be insane there, as well as the chaos at the stores! I did venture to Kohl's last Thanksgiving (in Jax) and although the parking lot and store was extremely full, I was very pleased and shocked that the total wait time was only 25 minutes. I assume most retailers plan far in advance for this and have a good system set up so that's something to keep in mind too! So if I have nothing better to do on Friday, why not?!
